Home/Exterior/Pool Areas

Poolside, Perfected

Copings, decks and feature walls engineered for constant water, sun and bare feet.

The Hardest Job Any Surface Has

A pool deck sits in constant water, chlorine and full sun, and it has to stay cool and safe underfoot the whole time. Most materials pick one of those and fail at the rest. Natural stone, properly selected and finished, does all three — which is why it's the only material we'll put around a pool.

Three Ways We Build a Pool Area

Every pool project draws on some combination of these three elements.

Pool Copings
01
Pool Copings
The edge profile between deck and water — bullnose or drop-face, finished to a wet-slip rating for bare feet.
Pool Decks
02
Pool Decks
Surrounding deck paving selected for low heat absorption, so it stays walkable barefoot at midday.
Feature Walls
03
Feature Walls
Raised walls and spillways that turn a pool into a water feature, cut and sealed to run continuously.

Selected and Finished for Water

Every batch is graded for slip resistance and thermal comfort before it's approved for a pool project.

Slip-Rated Coping
Bullnose and drop-face coping profiles finished to a wet-slip rating suitable for a constantly splashed edge.
Cool-Underfoot Decking
Light-toned, low-heat-absorption stone selections so the deck stays walkable barefoot at midday.
Water-Feature Walls
Raised feature walls and spillways cut and sealed to run water continuously without staining or scaling.
